ACID Properties Explained
ACID Properties Explained
EasyDatabases0% accepted
A money transfer must never lose or duplicate funds even if the server crashes mid-operation. Explain ACID and how it guarantees this. For each of Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation, and Durability: define it, and give a concrete failure it prevents in the transfer example.
Approach
Atomicity: all-or-nothing. Consistency: only valid states. Isolation: concurrent txns don't interfere. Durability: committed data survives crashes. Together they make the debit+credit safe.
