Contest Rules

Flycodx contests are free to enter skill competitions — no entry fee, no deposit, no stake, ever. Any prizes are discretionary rewards offered by Flycodx. These Rules explain eligibility, prizes, taxes, fair play and how winners are decided. They apply together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Free Entry — No Purchase, Fee or Stake
Participation in all Flycodx contests is completely free. We do not charge any entry fee and we do not require you to pay, deposit, stake, wager or risk any money or other consideration to enter or to be eligible for any prize. No purchase is necessary, and no purchase will improve your chances of winning. Any prize is offered and funded entirely by Flycodx as a discretionary, promotional reward for skill. Prizes are never paid out of a pool of money contributed by participants.
2. Skill-Based — Not an Online Money Game
Flycodx contests are competitions of skill. Outcomes are determined by your coding ability — the correctness, efficiency and speed of the solutions you write — and not by chance, betting or wagering. Because entry is free and no participant pays a fee, deposit or stake in expectation of winnings, Flycodx contests do not fall within the definition of an "online money game" under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, and do not constitute gambling, betting or wagering under applicable Indian law.
3. Eligibility
To participate in a contest and to be eligible for any prize, you must: • be a registered Flycodx user with an account in good standing; • be at least 18 (eighteen) years of age; • be a resident of India, unless a specific contest states otherwise; • comply with these Contest Rules, our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy; and • not be a resident of, or participating from, any jurisdiction where such contests or prizes are restricted or prohibited. Employees, contractors and immediate family members of the operator of Flycodx are not eligible to win prizes. We may verify your eligibility at any time and may withhold or revoke a prize if eligibility cannot be confirmed.
4. How Contests Work
Each contest has a defined start time, duration and set of problems. Your ranking is determined by the rules published for that contest — typically the total points earned (based on problem difficulty) and, as a tie-breaker, the cumulative time taken to submit valid solutions, with time penalties for incorrect attempts. You must solve problems yourself, fairly and independently. The contest leaderboard and results are determined by Flycodx and, absent manifest error, are final.
5. Prizes
Where a contest offers a prize, the nature and value of the prize (which may be cash, credits, merchandise, recognition, or other rewards) will be described for that specific contest. Unless expressly stated for a contest, prizes are awarded at Flycodx's discretion and are not guaranteed. Prizes are personal to the winner, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged or redeemed except as stated. We may substitute a prize of equal or greater value, or modify, suspend or cancel a prize or contest, where reasonably necessary or required by law. Virtual points and scores are not prizes, have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash.
6. Taxes and Statutory Deductions
Winners are solely responsible for all taxes applicable to any prize. Where required, Flycodx will deduct tax at source (TDS) on prize winnings in accordance with the Income-tax Act, 1961 (including, as applicable, sections governing winnings), and will issue the corresponding certificate. To receive a monetary prize, a winner must provide valid identification and tax details (including PAN) and complete any "Know Your Customer" (KYC) and verification steps we reasonably require. Failure to provide these within the time specified may result in forfeiture of the prize.
7. Winner Verification and Payout
We will contact winners using the contact details associated with their account. Prizes will be paid only after successful identity, eligibility and KYC verification, within a reasonable period after verification is complete. If a winner cannot be contacted, fails verification, is found ineligible, or breaches these Rules, the prize may be forfeited and, at our discretion, awarded to the next eligible participant.
8. Fair Play and Disqualification
The following are strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification, forfeiture of prizes and possible account termination: • plagiarism, copying another participant's code, or sharing solutions during a contest; • use of bots, scripts, automation, or unauthorised third-party assistance; • creating or using multiple accounts, or impersonating another person; • exploiting bugs, manipulating submissions, scores, timing or the leaderboard; and • any attempt to gain an unfair advantage or to disrupt the contest for others. Our determination of fair play is final.
9. Void Where Prohibited; State Restrictions
Contests and prizes are void where prohibited or restricted by law. Without limiting this, Flycodx may exclude residents of certain States or Union Territories from prize eligibility where local laws restrict skill-based prize competitions, currently including [e.g. Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and any other state where prize contests are restricted]. The list of excluded jurisdictions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in law.
10. Limitation of Liability; Changes to Contests
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flycodx is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your participation in a contest or your acceptance, use or inability to use any prize. We may add, modify, suspend, postpone or cancel any contest, or amend these Contest Rules, at any time — for example for technical issues, suspected fraud, or legal reasons — and will provide notice where reasonably practicable. These Contest Rules supplement, and are governed by, our Terms of Service, including its provisions on governing law, jurisdiction and dispute resolution.
